Norwich International introduced the development fee in 2007 to help fund further development of the airport’s infrastructure and passenger facilities. Although the ADF will contribute towards these developments, the vast majority will continue to come from the airport’s majority owners Omniport.
Your Airport Development Fee has helped contribute towards the £15 million spent on new facilities at Norwich International Airport since 2004.
Investment to date has included:
- £1.65m main apron upgrade
- 43 new plasma information screens
- £400,000 upgraded radar room
- £4.5m terminal expansion
- £100,000 upgraded washroom facilities
- Upgraded/improved arrivals area
- £2m new fire and emergency facilities
Future investment that the ADF will support includes:
- Establishment of controlled airspace to enable more efficient management and routing of the increased level of flights
- Further improvements to the terminal building
Thank you for supporting the growth of your local airport.
