NORWICH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WILL SEE CHARTER GROWTH OF 30% IN SUMMER 2010
Norwich Airport has seen the launch of six new destinations over the last three months: Tenerife for Christmas and New Year; Bulgaria, Madeira, Tunisia, Portugal and Guernsey for Summer 2010. As well as early season extensions to Turkey and Jersey and an additional 24 weeks to Turkey by Thomson.
Seat capacities for Summer 2010 are 30% higher than in Summer 2009 and a new full winter programme for 2010/11 will be launched in January.
Anyone looking for the best deal for holidays in 2010 or guidelines on all destinations available from Norwich should come to the Norwich Airport Travel Fair where almost all the airlines and tour operators that fly from Norwich will be present on Saturday 23 January 2010 from 10am to 4pm. Parking at the airport will be free for anyone attending the Travel Fair.
Elliott Summers, the airport’s Managing Director commented: “Since I became MD in January our focus has been to build relations with Airlines and Tour Operators and introduce destinations which meet demand, providing more choice to customers from their local airport.
We have concentrated on a hit list of popular destinations as indicated by our destinations survey and we are delighted to be offering our local passengers exactly what they have asked for.
We are looking for local Travel agents and customers support these new destinations and actively help us grow the airport in the coming years.”
