    Fly from Norwich Airport to Norway

    Currency = Norwegian Krone

    Norwich Airport offers the unique chance to fly direct to Norway and cruise around the arctic circle in search of the elusive Northern Lights. Fly on Sunday the 4th of March 2018 for this experience.

    Fly to Tromso in Norway where you will be greeted and taken to your cruise ship, a specially designed cruise ship for arctic cruising and navigating the narrow fjords, for an afternoon sailing.

    On the second day, the cruise ship will pull into Hammerfest early before sailing on to Honningsvag. Honningsvag is the most Northerly city in Norway and from here the traveller will have a chance to go to the North Cape where a visitor’s centre has been established and the traveller can have their picture taken with their back to the ocean and be only 1306 miles from the north pole.

    On the third day, your cruise ship will take the traveller further east than St Petersburg as you sail around in the Auroral Zone before it pulls into port at Kirkenes which is home to one of the Snow hotels and you will be able to take part in some arctic excursions before boarding the cruise ship as it turns around and heads back towards Tromso again stopping at the occasional port.

    On your fourth day, your cruise ship will again stop at Hammerfest so you will have plenty of opportunity to explore this wonderful place again before heading back to Tromso where you will disembark and stay in a central Tromso hotel.

    On the fifth day, you will have breakfast and then head out to either explore Tromso if you didn’t get your chance on arrival or take part in some planned activities before heading back to the airport.

    Of course, the whole purpose of the cruise is to see the elusive Northern lights which are a natural wonder of the world. The Northern Lights are caused by solar storms expelled by the sun that hit the earth’s magnetic field. When the storms atoms and molecules hit the earth’s atmosphere they become excited causing them to light up. The skies then look like lots of neon strips of many different and wavering colours are suspended above. They have mesmerised many a traveller and will mesmerise many more to come and this fly cruise offers the traveller this unique opportunity.
