Norwich Airport offers flights to Menorca from May through to October flying every Saturday.

Menorca sits in the Mediterranean Sea just of the coast of Spain. It is one the Balearic Islands and attracts travellers the whole year round due to its warm climate.

The Balearic Islands are famed for their mild winters and warms summers and Menorca reflects that with its average temperatures. The average temperature during the coolest winter month is around 10ºC. During the summer months, the average temperature for the warmest month is around 26ºC.

The Mediterranean Sea temperature maintains a mild to warm temperature the year round and temperatures range from 15ºC to 26ºC making Menorca an ideal water sport or beach holiday venue.

Menorca has miles of sandy beaches which unlike some of the other Balearic Islands are surprisingly empty and the traveller has plenty of chances for relaxation with good amenities. Some of the more famous beaches such as Son Saura, Cala des Talaier and Cala en Turqueta are well known for their cleanliness and turquoise waters. If you still seek a more tranquil experience then you will not have to travel far to find a hidden little cove or stretch of beach.

Menorca like most Mediterranean Sea islands, makes the most of the beautiful, clear water it is surrounded by and there are numerous water sports centres located all around the islands and particularly in the more built up areas. These centres can provide experience for the first-time adventures to the more seasoned. They offer a wide range of activities usually and not limited to jet ski hire, small boat hire, water skiing, snorkelling, windsurfing, surfing and scuba diving.

Menorca is famous for the Festes de Sant Joan held in the summer every year. The Festes de Sant Joan is held near the end of June and spans three days. Each day has distinct differences with the first day having a man walk around the streets with a groomed sheep on his shoulders. In the evening bonfires are lit.

Day two has well-groomed locally bred black horses being ridden through the street with onlookers encouraging the horse to rear on its hind legs and the brave darting underneath the horse to pat it on its heart for good luck.

Day three which is the final day has a jousting competition with a difference. The riders charge their horse forward and the rider tries to spear a suspended ring with his lance. In the evening in the final day there is firework show for the grand finale.
