Important Information

Passenger Alert – A140 Holt Road, Amsterdam Way & Middletons Lane overnight road closures
In October and November overnight road closures will be in place on the A140 Holt Road, Amsterdam Way & Middletons Lane in Norwich. To allow resurfacing works to take place associated with the ongoing project to extend the Yellow Pedalway route along the A140 Holt Road.
To minimise disruption and ensure the works can be completed safely they will be carried out in three phases. Closures will be in operation from 20:00 until 06:00 the following day, with signed diversion routes in place.
• Middletons Lane (Closure from the A140 Holt Road to Bush Road) – 27/10/25 and 28/10/25. Diversion via Reepham Road.
• A140 Holt Road (Closure from Amsterdam Way to the A1270 Broadland Northway) – 29/10/25, 30/10/25 and 31/10/25. Diversion via A1151 Wroxham Road.
• Amsterdam Way (Closure from the A140 Holt Road to the Delft Way Roundabout) – 02/11/25, 03/11/25, 04/11/25 and 05/11/25. Diversion via Buck Courtney Crescent.
Staff will be on site to manage access and egress from properties within the work area at all times. During the Middletons Lane closure access and egress will be via Reepham Road. During the Holt Road closure access will be from the A1270 Broadland Northway and egress will be via the Holt Road/Amsterdam Way junction.
Please plan ahead for travel to and from the airport, and follow signed diversions provided by Norfolk County Council.

Passenger Alert – Road Works – through to Nov 2025
Temporary Traffic Management – A140 Holt Road
From 15 June to mid-November 2025, temporary traffic signals will be in place at the A140 Holt Road, Middletons Lane, and Amsterdam Way junction. The lights will be manually controlled from 7am to 7pm to help traffic flow, but please ensure you allow extra time for journeys to and from the airport.
This marks the first phase of extending The Yellow Pedalway along the A140 Holt Road between Middletons Lane and the Broadland Northway, focusing on upgrading signals and improving footways around the Middletons Lane/Amsterdam Way junction for pedestrians, wheelchair users, pushchairs, and cyclists.

Hand Luggage – liquids & large electrical items.
There are currently no changes to the rules regarding liquids and large electrical items in hand luggage. When preparing for security screening at Norwich Airport, please follow the existing guidelines: Liquids must be in containers of 100ml or less and placed in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag (one per passenger), with a capacity of no more than 1 litre and dimensions of approximately 20cm x 20cm (8in x 8in). All liquids and large electrical items (e.g., laptops) must be removed from hand luggage and presented separately for screening.
